A female United States age 30-35, *ick-e writes:

i've been with my boyfriend for 3yrs. he was my first and i love him dearly but latley i've been feeling like i dont want to be with him anymore. hes had many other girls that hes dated and i feel like i haven't dated enough guys to see exactly what i want. i try to tell him that we should take some time off from each other but he seems to always have a way to convince me to stay. what should i do? i dont want to lose him. i really do love him but im confused...please help!

My ex girlfriend told me the exact same thing. I thought we were doing great but she wanted to explore her options as she put it. Well she went ahead and explored. After a year, she wanted to get back together cos she decided she'd done enough exploring. Well it was a good moment when I told her to 'get the hell of my property' on my doorstep:-) (This was when she was 22, I was 21)

Long story short, a break like what your describing hardly exists. What you're looking for is a breakup. Be sure thats what you want cos you know, it could be permanent
