Having a good cry can help people to feel better, to "let it all out", but it works best when it happens naturally. I don't think it is something that can really be forced. I often find that when big things happen, I don't or can't cry, but something small and insignificant will have me falling to pieces. So it can be a bit unpredictable.
I don't know how you can make yourself cry, but like I said before, I think you probably ARE crying, just internally. Other ways to let things out are by talking to someone about how you feel, writing it down, some physical activity, artistic methods...maybe one of those might help.
But if you are feeling so bad, then I would encourage you to try and get help and support from someone if possible. I am sorry you seem to be going through such a difficult time, my thoughts are with you. x
