I would do one fetish a week. Give it enough time to work on hers, and you may want to compromise on yours with some leather, or some type of thick underwear.

Bondage - woman wants to submit
They are totally opposites and you can't combine them. Bondage is a common fetish, diapers isn't... yes it's unfair, but that's why she finds it kind of weird. Also she'll associate diapers with children, and may feel uncomfortable. (unfair again because you may associate bondage with rape)
It's good that you two can talk about it, but you might find that your not really sexually compatible. If you want to try, I'd suggest doing her bondage thing first, then waiting a month for your diaper fetish.
