Like i knOw that people always say its a self cleaning organ and stuff, but i use a gentle cleanser and then rinse with warm water in the shower every night, and keep my pubic hair short. How do you clean the inside of your vagina? I jsut want to know for when I frst have sex, or if a guy goes down on me I don't want it to smell down there. Thanks, xoxo Kerry

Firstly grab a cotton bud on the plastic and wipe it onto a bar of soap then slowly push it into the opening of your vagina and rub it around the inside. ps. works well with lemon soap.

But you can wash your vulva and vagina with water and nild soap that is free of dyes and perfumes; if you are sensitive to mild soaps, then a soft rubbing around the folds of your labia (lips) while soaking in warm water should do the trick. Your main goal is to remove any sweat or bacteria from around the vulva outside your vagina.
It's important to understand that the vagina is self-cleaning; that is why douching is unnecessary;
the vagina gets rid of mucus, semen, menstrual fluid, and old cells that you no longer need; besides your period, you might notice other vaginal discharges — whitish-yellow secretions that are normal and healthy; the smell and thickness change throughout your cycle; so it's good to be aware of what's normal for you; it changes if something is wrong;so, if you are washing these secretions all away with douches, how will you really know if something is wrong;
Best wishes;

What you're doing now is fine. You are right the vagina is self cleaning and to interfere with its naturally acidic enviroment can do more harm than good. Its also a good idea to wear cotton panties as this helps prevent yeast infections.
Take care x
