A male United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Me and my girlfriend have been going out for about 2 or 3 weeks now. I'm thinking about breaking up with her because she makes me really mad. The main reason is that she hardely ever talks and doesn't want to do anything fun. By fun I mean normal stuff that everyone does, not anything bad. This is probably about the 3rd time that I've went outwith her because I thought that things would change, but they havent. I'm actually kinda afraid to break up with her because I know that she'll cry like a little baby. Plus her cousin is my most best friend in the world, and because of that fact all of her family will look down at me. So if anyone cold help I would really appreciate it, I'm kinda stuck in a bad predicament.

A reader, anonymous, writes (4 July 2011):

If you're not happy then you shouldn't keep leading her on thinking you are just because you don't have the guts to. If you want happiness, then break up with her, but be gentle. If she cries then she cries. Don't let that make you regret your decision. And if her cousin is really your best friend, they will understand that this is between you and your girlfriend and they can't be mad because you didn't end up happy. They weren't running the relationship so don't feel guilty. Move on and be happy.
