I don't think there would be anything the doctor would willingly do to slow down your sexdrive.Try not to think of having the high sex drive as a bad thing, it shows you are very much still a sexual creature and that your husband can still, after 27 years push the right buttons for you. Perhaps have a chat with him, maybe find a compromise in the middle somewhere that you would both be comfortable with.If you have sexual tension and feel the urge that it HAS to be released, have you considered masturbation? Would it be something you partner would mutualy exchange with you, or be ok with you doing when he isn't in the mood?Iv'e always found that if i wait when my partner isn't ready that when you do have sex it is much more intense and enjoyable. Perhaps flirt alot inbetween and raise the sexual tension, use it to your advantage! Anticipation can be a great thing!
