He always asks me to have a game of badminton with him and we have a lot of fun when we do. but recently he hasn't been coming. I dont know why, it's once a week (the club), so do you think he does like me cos if he did then wouldn't he be looking forward to seeing me? I do! He has ginger hair as well and none of my friends like ginger hair people so I dont know what they would think if I went out with him. :( They would be teasing me about him all the time! Do you think I should tell them about him if he says yes when I ask him out? The third question is how do I ask him? I cant bring myself to ask him face to face or by msn or mobile. How can I ask him? We are friends and I really don't want that to end if I ask him out, and I've heard that it scares boys off sometimes if they know you like them.thanks to the people who replyfrom in desperate need of advise xxxxx

reader, anonymous, writes (25 May 2005): We'll it's hard to say because I don't know this person and I don't know what he's like so I don't really know what to think. The only piece of advise I can give is to just be yourself around him and see if he likes you the way you are. But I say get a friend maybe to ask him out for you and see what he says, if he says no then try and get to know him a bit more but just as friends and one day he might like you as more than that, your'll see. Ok now the first answer is maybe he has had something else to do. Dont think it's because of you otherwise you start to feel down.The second answer is more of a question. Do you actually care what your friends think? It should be if he makes you happy then they should be happy for you. If not then they aren't friends.The third is when you next see him just ask him if he would like to meet up for a drink away fom the club, you never know things might get better and it gives you both chance toget to know each other properly.
