 Sending those short answers to him "okay" or "lol" as you said, will over time, make him text shorter messages. If you want him to text you first, make it fun. Give him a reason to text you. Or just get over it and text him. I don't text people unless I either need something from them, or want to talk about something that day. Or I'm dating that person.
I don't think this guy is into you, btw. Like, at all.

Wait till he gets bored and no one is available to talk to him, nothing occupies his time, he will initiate to text you.
Thats what they do these days. Guys sent a group msg then start making a move to whoever will respond.
Or you could start looking for another boy who have genuine interest in you.
Your still very young n i am sure u are a pretty girl, someone is actually reserve for a nice young lady like you just maybe not him.
Why because you text hin already n he did not responded. Theres nothing that u can do. I suggest to divert your attention to someone else.Good luck..
