I got so wrapped up in wanting to be with him again that I settled for a relationship that is only sexual. I tried to get together with him tonight and he didn't anwer when I called, never called me back. He is constantly complaining to that he can't get girls, yet he can't be happy with the one who wants him. He's very inexperienced at dating (he's always been overweight) so I'm afraid he's idealized the perfect girl. How can I get him to see that I'm the one? I still love him after all these years. If you say "forget him", I've heard that before. If I can't have him, I at least want to understand why he's doing this to me.

You've heard it before because it's the only real option. You say he's idealized the perfect girl - you've idealized him. You tracked him down and now you're basically keeping him warm. He isn't doing anything to you in that you're doing it to yourself. Sorry.
