The "right" guys for her are the guys that she repeatedly goes for. She might claim not to want those guys but her words don't mean anything compared to her actions. If her actions say she likes those guys, then she likes those guys.

reader, anonymous, writes (3 May 2011): You are simply making excuses for the girl as to why she is not currently dating you and why it looks like she most likely never will.
The best thing you could do is make you feelings known clearly, no going round in circles or speaking in riddles just be clear that you care/love her and that you would like to date her. If she gives you a long winded story about not being sure or ready or hems and haws about it then know she has essentially made her decision and it is that she does not want to be with you in. From that point on cut your losses and move on. Dont hang around in the wings as the understudy waiting for her to realise that you are this great guy, no move on with your life and find someone who wants you for you and would jump at the chance to be with you.

The problem for you is you hang out with her but she doesn't see you as boyfriend material. If she did, you would be dating her and no other guys would be in the picture. It's the friend zone I'm afraid. No one's fault, it's chemistry and stuff! I don't think you can further things here. Only my opinion and I could be wrong.
