When we were hanging out after the game she told me she had feelings for me and asked if I would go out with her. She caught me completely off guard and I had no idea how to respond since I'd never been asked out by another girl. I said i wouldnt let it change our friendship and i was glad she was comfortable telling me. She said I don't have to feel put on the spot so we just let it go but it came up again a couple months after that. As awkward as it was I didn't completely reject the idea. It stopped coming up altogether after that. But it took me forever to get over it!!We kinda lost touch for a while and have been talking more regularly since a couple weeks ago. Now here we are about to go into our second year of college(we go to different schools) and when she tells me she's been seeing this guy for the past like 6 months I found myself get crazy jealous and kinda sad. So obviously I screwed up and waited to long. Should I just let it go and forget about it?

If she is happy then you have to let it go, try being her friend and you might see you dont like her in a romantic way and if you still do, you never knoe they may not last forever.

Ahhh, the one that got away. I would say, yes, let it go. She is seeing someone else and you really don't want to interfere with that. Hopefully you can remain friends with her, without being driven crazy with jealousy. Who knows, somewhere down the road, if this guy doesn't work out. there may still be a chance for you.....but don't put your life on hold waiting for that.
