He has a really difficult time staying hard with condoms,so I figured it couldn't hurt since I'm on birth control. We had sex that Friday and Saturday. My period was due to start on Sunday. I am on birth control, and it normally starts when I get to the brown pills in the last row on the pack. But it is now Saturday (6 days since my period should have started). And I have only had extremely light brown spotting. The one day it was looking more pink, and I thought maybe it was going to start,so I used a tampon, but when I took it out...nothing. I have read about implantation bleeding, but I don't know if it can start that soon after possible conception? The spotting started around the time my regular period SHOULD have started,it was either Sunday or Monday. The birth control pills have caused some irregular bleeding between periods before too,but I don't recall ever having spotting that light. Today it seems to have stopped completely. I took a pregnancy test yesterday, but it would have only been a week since we had sex,and it came back negative. Would it have taken an accurate reading so soon after,or do I have to wait longer to know for sure? Also when we had sex last weekend,I left my house at 7:30 and didn't now what time I'd be home,so I took my birth control before I left. Normally I take it around 10:30 or 11:00 at night. Could this have messed things up?

I've taken my pill a few hours later than normal on a few occasions and nothing has changed. ALthough its always best to try and take it at the same time it really doesnt make much of a difference (as long as its not more than 12 hours later).
Saying this it will depend on what pill you're on so read the intructions to see if anything is mentioned on there and if you're really worried go see your doctor. :)

Some pills do need to be taken at the exact same time every day to be effective so they could have been compromised. You should go see a doctor and get a pregancy test done then you will know for sure. Maybe you should take your pills with you when you are not sure what time you will be home.
All the best.
