I know he is self conscience about how well he performs but I've never had a problem with him in that area. Is he using a pump, and if he squeezed it, it seems like that can be very unhealthy.  We can't tell you for sure if your husband is using a penis pump or not. If you don't trust him to be truthful to you about something so inconsequential, you really do have bigger problems to worry about than that, though.
