A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I think i'm becoming a green monster of jealousy. There is a girl in my year who i used to be really good friends, but she ended up going out with my then current boyfriend behind my back, among other things. There are many people who don't like her because of her attitude and the way she treats people. Still, there are a group of people who are practically in love with her, most of them being my close friends.

Everytime I look at her I feel incredibly jealous. I am constantly comparing myself to her in everything- work, looks, social life etc its becoming insane. I always feel like she's better than me and that she knows it. I'm also becoming slightly paranoid because sometimes I wish I could look like her.

I don't want to be a crazy psycho jealous bitch, and sometimes I think it's normal for me to be jealous of her as my guy then obviously thought she was better than me. Please help

first of all. she is no way better than you

she is the insecure one.. she had to take YOUR man..what does that say about her.. she wanted to be you! and got some kinda kick out of "taking him off you"

we can learn from these kind of mistakes, just be more wary around so called "best friends" around your boyfriends in the future, but learn to trust again

just learn to avoid this girl..focus on other things, dress up and treat yourself!! :) turn ur negative thoughts into positive.. retrain the way you are thinking about the whole situation with her..do you really need her? and the worry that comes with it?NO! x

Jealousy is a human weakness. You have to deal with it by ignoring the thoughts and diverting your mind to something which interests you really.
