I think I want to break up with my boyfriend, but we have the same friendship group and I'm sure it would make things awkward. He ended up losing his best friend by going out with me, and has recently ditched most of his other friends and spends all his time with my friends, and I don't want him to feel that he's given it up for nothing. Is there a way to keep both of us happy?

eyeswideopen agony auntWell you can't stay with him just because it might be awkward within your circle of friends. At your age boyfriends come and go and so do friends. Be nice when you break up with him and hopefully no one will have hard feelings and life will go on smoothly. When the dust has settled you two may even be able to be friends.
