We ended up kissing after a couple of hours, and exchanged numbers. He said things like 'when are we going to go out, on a date?' and other things implying that he likes me. We haven't spoke since, but I figure I should make the first move. But I have no idea of what to say, or how to say it! I'm going away for 2 weeks, so I thought maybe text him when I get back, but any suggestions on what to say? I'm quite shy when it comes down to anything like this. And also, does it sounds like he likes me enough to consider going out with me?

God help this younger generation if texting becomes the primary means of communication. Everyone will be visiting hospitals on a regular basis getting treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome.

Text him.
"I'll be away for a couple of weeks and won't be able to see you, but it would be great to keep in touch by phone. TB."
That should provoke some sort of reaction, and you will know where you stand.
Also, less embarrassing, texting, if you are shy or uncertain.
Good luck.
Harry.
