reader, anonymous, writes (23 December 2010): Hi, i don't have borderline personality disorder (BPD), but i am a medical student, so i wanted to reply. .you wrote you 'think' that you have the disease. It sounds to me that either it is what you believe due to seeing someone with the disease or by internet search. Whatever the reason, wheather you have BPD or not can only be assessed by a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist can assure you if you don't have BPD, or he/she can give you medication if you have it. And you must understand our answeres can give you courage,sympathy , bt that is not a permanent solution. We go to doctor if we have fever, so why not to a psychiatrist if we are mentally disturbed. Personally i have depression, i tried very hard to fight it, but i started to win the fight only after i started medicine. . Best of luck. . I would like to hear from you about how you are doing. .
