I think he is setting me up for a night of sex

A friend recently introduced me to a man (57 yrs. old). He invited me for dinner at his house along with my friend. He is a gentleman. The problem or what I see as a problem is that he keeps asking me over to cook dinner for me and then wants me to stay over (which I haven't done yet) He says he'll sleep on the sofa, but he hasn't taken me out on a date.. His communication style is through text messages. Is this a problem or is it just me? I am very social and love to go to happy hour and be around people. Help!!!!
