Theres this friendly pretty smart girl that i realllly like and we're already friends and my uncles doing a haunted house i said(quote)hey are you doing anything for halloween she said yea trick or treating i said my uncles doing a haunted house and then i got really nervous i said instead of "you want to come?" i said "i dont know who to invite". I had never asked a girl to go somewere with meI got so nervous i started shaking a little bit and she kind of looked at me as if waiting on me to invite her and after about a full minute of silence i said you can come if you want but with an accidental tone of i guess i better invite you to be polite and she said nothing. i said ill get the directions for you next week and i kind of freaked out and speed walked into the bath room just to get away before i even heard an ok or ill ask my mom or kiss my assnow i dont know what to say to her next week so...HELP! Next time you see her try to act natural,
guys mistaken girls as being stuck up and rude if he tends to embarass himself, they are not whatsoever and maybe next time you see her make a joke out of it... Like say "Sorry about the other day where I totally embarassed myself.." Or whatever you want to. Or just try to act natural, honestly I am not just saying this but be completely honest with her and she will grow to like you if she already doesn't. I mean hint to her that you like her. Or even say it. That's even better.

It'd be cool if you went to my uncles haunted house with me... it'll be a lot of fun and you should come.
Be confident, or try.
If you can't, that's 100% fine.
Just show her you like her.

reader, anonymous, writes (9 October 2007): When I was your age I was just as nervous as you. I was also worried that I would be rejected. I thought that girls were very different to boys, but they're not really!
They might stick around in groups giggling to one another, but trust me, they're talking about boys most of the time. They aren't a different species, they're more or less the same as you except that they wear skirts and blouses.
My guess is she was just as shy as you were at the time, and she probably went home to her mom and excitedly told her that a boy had asked her out that day.
Pluck up some courage, chest out, shoulders back and ask her if she'd like to come with you to your Uncle's Haunted House instead of going Trick or Treating. I bet she'll have an answer for you this time now that she's thought about it for the last few days.
Best of luck buddy - this could be the start of something good!

I don't know if this is a lame idea cuz I haven't been your age is quite a while, but maybe write her a note?? It could say something like "I didn't mean to be short with you before, and I would reallt like it if you would come with me to my uncle's haunted House" then give her the directions, or whatever you were planning to do to get together.

Jst untill u get used to her that is. Maybe you culd tel her how you mfeel, that you feel weak at the knees around her because she is so pretty...I know Id love to hear that!
