reader, anonymous, writes (14 June 2010): I think you should talk to her about it. the situation will only get worse if you leave it as it is, girls like to know whats happening and they like to know whats going on inside everyone's head. Be glad that she is only a step cousin as if she was a blood relation then that would have counted as incest. don't worry about what happened, whats done is done, right? If you have feelings for her then theres no real reason for you not to go out with her anyway, as long as she feels the same way.
I hope you sort out things between you two soon, it would be terrible if what happened ruins your bond with her. my cousin is also my best friend and we tell each other everything.
