writes:dear cupid's lounge, i have a question because quite frankly I'm at a loss. When my boyfriend and I were together 1 1/2 yrs(almost to the day)we got the news that we were going to have a baby. There were ups and downs because he thought he couldn't have kids and so did i, but we pulled through. During the entire 9 months+3 months after our son was born, he told our friends,family, and co-workers that we were indeed going to get married and become a real family. But when our son was 3 months old, without warning, he dropped the bombshell that the wedding was off, and if I didn't like it, tough. No explaination what-so-ever for the change of heart. And for the longest time I felt that he'd not only hurt me but made me out to be a fool infront of everyone we knew. He even bought me an engagement ring. I wonder at times if he ever did plan on marrying me at all. Any thoughts?

 Its hard to say what his intentions were, are you still together? Is he an involved parent, are his family involved in the baby's life?
You dont say how long ago this happened, I can understand it was like a bombshell, I hope everything is settling down for you and the baby now ...
