writes: I've been in my relationship for nearly a year. I sometimes get the feeling that I am sometimes over bearing. I always want to show my love and affection.I don't know whether it's because of the person I am I'm just scared that I may push her away. I think that I say nice things too often. "I love you", "your beautiful" etc, little things like that.It's not that I don't want to say them, I do, but just not 10 times a day. I want her to feel special every time I say these types of things, not thinking "oh, you said that a couple of hours ago".Any advice on how I can tackle my little problem?Thanks Reply to this Question Share |

reader, anonymous, writes (23 January 2009): It is really a behavioral thing a habit....now that you are aware you do that too often, make your compliments thank you's instead....thank her for doing something for you, show your appreciation, not your judgement of her beauty or her meaning to you, those things can be conditional....a woman's deepest need is to be appreciated by her man, for a man it is having his woman's respect.....so always appreciate her and show her you care about her....and she will trust and respect you to do the right thing....be yourself, but just tweak it that way and see what happens.
