I saw some photos of my bf posing with some girls and looking quite 'chummy' with them. I honestly don't like it but am I over reacting?

my boyfriend (21 yrs old) had gone home to his home country for a month, dec-jan, and i saw some of his pictures there with these girls, he's holding them and they're hugging him real close as in with their arms completely around him and he's holding them in a similar fashion.

i tried telling him it bothers me because i don't see a difference in the way he holds me and the way he holds them. he said he couldn't believe i was saying that coz he's said they're like his sisters because he grew up with them. i, however, told him to think twice before saying that. he didn't reply. Then he got pissed off and said "let me tell u this, i know them more than i know you, i've known them longer than i've known you." i didn't say anything after that, but that statement did hurt me a little.

And those pics do bother me, even though i just try to ignore it now and I'm not going to bring it up again. am i over-reacting? or should i seriously take his word for it and let it go?

we've been together a yr and 2 months and though he hasn't cheated on me, i do know if he used to be a player because he told me so himself but apparently, "apparently" (rolls eyes), his last gf changed him completely.

TasteofIndia agony auntI don't know what country he's from, but I think these pictures were completely platonic. I have lots of pictures of my guy friends and my girlfriends all hugging or with their arms around each other. I'll bet they were just pictures... and those are some of his buddies from high school or whatever. Probably just good friends.

I agree with CD. If your man was cheating, he probably wouldn't show the pictures to you!

Well, the thing is we're from the same country and usually the girls aren't that physically close to guys they aren't going out with, and I saw these pics online on this website facebook.com where his friends, the girls, had uploaded them, commenting on them saying things like 'I was soooo happy to see you!!' n he's commented saying 'That's a very cute pic' n the girl replies with 'All our pics have turned out real good' n 'My first :))'

....is this input helpful? :s

cd206 agony auntYou say home country which implies he's from a country far away. Some countries have different etiquette when it comes to posing for photos. And after all theyre only photos and he's let you see them. If he was cheating on you he wouldn't let you see them surely.
