writes:hello. ive been talking to my best lad mates friend alot recently, weve became really close friends, weve just been talkin about my best lad mate i said i saw him as a brother, the mate of his asked what i saw him as. i said close friends, what i would like to know is if you say close friends does this leave room for more than friends? it felt like a certain question that required a certain answer , but i didnt give him it because i am shy. have i messed things up ?all advice welcome :)thankyou xx

 Certainly not, most people who are friends end up as lovers, there's only a thin dividing line between them. If you like this this guy wait for the right opportunity, then let him know you'd like to be more, he could be trying to find out how you feel. If you've become friends very quickly then it is likely to lead to a relationship (that's what I've found from past experience.) However if you've become close friends over a period of time, you probably know a lot more about each other and are very used to being friends, so if you started a relationship, you would have a lot to lose were you to break up.
