He's always really lovely etc however I recently went on holiday and he said he couldn't text me because its 50p per text!! He gives me hardly any attention either. Plus he waited 2 years before he told his ex-girlfriend he loved her!!! Do you think that's weird? Before he met me, his mates told me he was very very fussy with girls, so that makes me feel really insecure, and like I have something to live up to. Why would he pick me? I'm nothing special but he is!

reader, anonymous, writes (5 August 2007): love-him - all mobile operators charge a much higher amount when customers mobile is "roaming" (using a different operator in which they don't have an agreement with). It doesn't necessarily mean he is lying or is being "jipped" for money.
Question asker - you say he is really lovely, isn't that the main thing? Why do you think it will really change things if he says I love you earlier? Isn't how he treats you more important than what he says to you? He could say it within a few weeks - would that make you feel better, even if he didn't truly mean it? You're sounding insecure and needy, can you go out with your mates and be cheered up? No boy likes to deal with neediness. You say he is picky with girls, have you ever thought that perhaps you are a much more amazing girlfriend than you believe you are?

 Hey bbe, truthfully i dont think it is weird he waited 2 years 2 tell his ex that, because it does take time, my boyfriend had never told anyone he loved them before. He shouldnt have been payin 50p per txt, it isnt allowed for a phone company to allow you to pay for a txt more than the standard rate, because you wouldnt know if the personm recievin it was out of the country. Check up on that because either he is lyin or he is bein jipped for money.
