reader, anonymous, writes (4 November 2009): i agree with ohdearitserika, just wanting a boyfriend isn't enough, often if you just accept that you will get one eventually and stop thinking about it, that's when the perfect guy comes along =).
Most of the people I know didn't get their first bf or gf till they were 15/16/17, Although there is always an exception to this, and only got their first kiss by making out with some random guy at the disco.
You can't just expect to land a bf without making an effort, go out, meet friends of friends, get involved in youth clubs or drama groups or whatever just to meet people.
