writes: OK, so over the last week I have come to realise a fancy a friend of mine. We've been good friends for about 6 months now, her name's Amy and we're in sixthform together. Up till recently I've been happy with our freindship and thought that was all I wanted from her. We get on really well but I don't think she has any idea I like her in that way, especially since today she told me that she fancies someone else, a guy called James - brilliant! it aint. I don't know if I should tell her, and if I do it may ruin our friendship and make things awkward. But here's the thing, James fancies someone else so he may not even go for Amy if she says how she feels. I have no idea what move I should make next, or if I should do anything at all. Wait until a good time , and that is not now . As for this guy your friend likes - so what ? He is not interested in her so you have no worries there.
However it will upset you inside if you pretend you just want to be friends with this girl .try and test the water gently by telling her she looks great , you love being with her , Then in a quiet time tell her the truth , and have courage . She may feel exactly the same about you . Good Luck !
