I feel that there is a mutual interest but I do not know how to approach the situation because she seems happy with him. But, I really like her and we are going to prom in a month. We have went on a few dates and we have a lot of fun together. I want to be with her really badly and going to prom with her would just rub it in my face even more that I'm not with her. So what should I do? Should I push it and possibly make prom even more awkward? Or just not say anything and possibly miss out on my chance to be with her?

Go for it, LDRs hardly ever work, and we are forever advising girls on here to look for a guy closer to home.
If you have actually been on dates with her, she's not that serious about him.
