reader, anonymous, writes (30 October 2006): I have had teeth taken out while still awake and the area was just frozen and it wasn't that bad. I didn't feel anything and the only unpleasant part was the sound. If you bring your MP3 player and play some music it may help to muffle the sound slightly, but you will still hear it somewhat. It doesn't take very long, so just relax and remember it will be over soon.

reader, anonymous, writes (29 October 2006): I can speak from experiance it is definately best to be put to sleep for the operation, I was and I didnt experiance any pain after really it was just a bit of an empty feeling.
So try that it worked for me.

 i know how you feel as some of my patients are petrified like you. im a dental nurse, why dont you opt for the twilight sleep & you'll not feel a thing you'll just wake up a bit groggy.
