So recently i've started going on daily walks and i eat healthier which so far has enabled me to lose about 3kg but i'm at point which i always hit where it is difficult for me to lose any more to achieve the goal i'd like. I think this is because my body has already become used to my routine of excercises and eating habbits. So are there any tips on what i can do to lose more? The walks i go on are pretty long, lasting a couple of hours usually, and i walk at a reasonably fast pace. Occassionally i go on runs as well and i would of thought this would be enough on top of eating healthy... Reply to this Question Share |

Hi Anon. Good for you, staying in shape is really important for your health. I find that sometimes we confuse thirst with hunger and we tend to have a little snack every time we feel peckish when what we should be doing is drinking a glass of good old H2O. Also I suggest cutting your bread and carbohydrate intake down to a minimum, only once per day unless it’s before vigorous exercise. When I've been out on a few business lunches and dinners in a row and feel I'm picking up a little weight I have a special meal of two tomatoes and a can of pink salmon or tuna, nothing else. Supplement that for a few meals, it really works. Don't miss meals as this throws your metabolism out of sync and causes weight gain. If possible try increase the running to at least 30 minutes 3 times per week. Hope this helps. Take care.

Hi,
I'm not the greatest authority on eating habits, but one thing that I was extremely suprised at was how many calories I was consuming by drinking. The amount of juice that you need to get your daily vitamen C is not very big, about half a tumbler. Milk and pop with sugar in it also puts a larger amount of calories into your daily intake than you might be aware of. Even if you don't count calorie intake, being aware that you may be drinking too many calories can help. The best thing to drink is what your body is asking for - Water! Its so important for so many different bodily functions, from digestion to clear skin. That's about the only tip I have! Good Luck and I'll be joining in on the weight loss program after this Easter weekend!!!
