writes: Hello.Need some exercise advice.I'm in good shape. OK, honestly, can be better, and I have potential to have a really nice figure, but find myself going to the gym one week and not the next week, therefore I end up in square one.I need to get back into shape, and build my figure, as it doesnt look like it should. Are there any home exercises that I can do at home and really see results. If I am firm with myself and stick to a routine, how quick will I get a nice results.I don't have very muscular arms, and they aren't big, but with a workout they'll improve, but which exercise targets these areas? Are there specific websites.Thank you.

I found a few classes with instructors I really like and I go weekly to each class. Otherwise I can't stick to anything on my own.
Turbo kick-boxing is a good one. I like the lift classes at some gyms that target arms, shoulders and do tons of squats and lunges for your behind. Spinning (cycling) is killer, really tough but will get you lean fast. Pilates can get you tight and toned, (it's good to do pilates or yoga if you're doing weights, so that your muscles also get lengthened). You may want to try a dance class if it would be fun for you. I recently went to a "Fit for a Goddess" intro class (pole dancing - not just for strippers) and loved it. It didn't even feel like exercise, but got a great workout. Hope this was helpful, good luck!

Its great to see that your intrested in getting fit and keeping healthy, going to the gym is great, get yourself into a routine in one week then mix it up the next so it doesnt get boring, i go to the gym 3 times a week plus on weekends i do some yoga or pilates, you can buy DVD's or Videos for yogo or pilates or even type in a google search pilates or yoga and im sure you will find some ideas that you can use at home, maybe take advantage of the gym use this time to work with weights for your legs - leg press,arms- seated row etc these will help tone the muscle, then try and do a cardio work out on a tred mill or bike this will help with weight lose, and using a gym ball each day at home or do your pilates work outs help with well-being, posture and strength. websites are ok to get ideas for exercise but maybe talk to a personal trainer at your gym and they can give you more ideas specifically for you and what you want to work on.i know the gym can be hard at times and keeping a good routine but its totally worth it,good luck.

If you go to sparkpeople.com, you can set yourself up a diet and exercise program and it's totally free. It asks you what you have available to work with and gives you exercises based on that. So...if you're doing stuff at home, it gives you things to use around the house. It's a great site for someone that needs help on the exercising.
Good Luck!
