A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *mmaxbaby writes:

My ex broke up with me about 4 weeks ago saying that his feelings had changed for me, i was devastated and he knew i was. and i told myself i needed to stay strong and keep going and id be okay.

But deep down i love him deeply and miss him so much, and i hurt so much and i know theres nothing i can do to bring him back. He said he wanted to stay friends but im hurting..

Other guys want to take me out but i just want to be alone and dont want anything to do with anyone else because i love him so much, he was so perfect and i miss him deeply.

A female reader, KIMBERLIE United Kingdom +, writes (14 June 2009):

KIMBERLIE agony aunti am in exactly the same situation, after over year together and a miscarriage,my ex told me he didnt love me anymore.it really is the hardest thing in the world to get your head around, especially when your still madly in love with them, but you need to realise that there is no going back now,he has made his mind up and you must not sit around in hope of him changing it,and it is not possible to remain friends either, because when the time comes for him hooking up with someone new,you are going to feel your heart being ripped out all over again.make a clean break from him,go on a few dates, nothing serious, with other guys to help you rebuild your confidence, and in time you will meet someone new who will sweep you off your feet all over again.

Me=exact same situation. I think going out with some of the guys that ask has really helped though. Inform them of where you're at emotionally, right up front, and let them decide. Don't be too disappointed if they back off, and give the ones that stay a chance. Keep yourself busy so that you can think about other people and other things than him.

Good luck!
