I had bulmia nervosa at 21 and my recovery motivated my training as a psychologist to help others with this devastating condition. I did terrible damage to my metabolism/ fertility and I have to take medication every day to substitute what went wrong. One of the problems with eating disorders in women is that it does disrupt your fertility cycle. You don't get periods but it doesn't mean that the lining of your womb isn't building up over months (a condition called endometrial hyperplasia). I had this quite a few times and it requires taking medication to get rid of the lining as it can be a risk factor for womb cancer. Eating disorders are terribly common these days - hardly surprising given the media obsession with the issue - and your doctor can offer you specialist help. You have done the first important step - recognising you have a problem. It now takes courage to tell a doctor and get a referral to an eating disorders clinic. Don't be ashamed - eating disorders are very complex issues that happen for a variety of reasons. You need to get to the bottom of yours to recover long-term. Good luck!

You could use chocolate as a reward when you have had a good string of eating healthily.
I do not know how old you are, but I am almost eighteen and weigh 7 stone ... but I eat (quite alot sometimes) but I am healthy. It isn't always about weight, but about being healthy.
Good Luck x
