DrPsych agony auntI had bulmia nervosa at 21 and my recovery motivated my training as a psychologist to help others with this devastating condition. I did terrible damage to my metabolism/ fertility and I have to take medication every day to substitute what went wrong. One of the problems with eating disorders in women is that it does disrupt your fertility cycle. You don't get periods but it doesn't mean that the lining of your womb isn't building up over months (a condition called endometrial hyperplasia). I had this quite a few times and it requires taking medication to get rid of the lining as it can be a risk factor for womb cancer. Eating disorders are terribly common these days - hardly surprising given the media obsession with the issue - and your doctor can offer you specialist help. You have done the first important step - recognising you have a problem. It now takes courage to tell a doctor and get a referral to an eating disorders clinic. Don't be ashamed - eating disorders are very complex issues that happen for a variety of reasons. You need to get to the bottom of yours to recover long-term. Good luck!

sweetheart i do understand where you are coming from, its been many years since i had an eating disorder but due to one malicious man im back to where you are headed. you are the only one in control of your weight and i think you not only need help with your weight issues that you need help with your self esteem. i dont understand what has made you crash diet and also yoyo your weight so dramatically. you are so young and i know its not what you want to hear but puppy fat plays a major role in a young womans body its there to give you a chance to grow healthy and to concieve. eating chocolate isnt going to make you fat if your up and mobile but binging on something will make you ill. its like binging on drink it will make you ill not now but in a few years. are you sure that you have an eating disorder are you sure that you are not just skipping meals so that people will comment on the way you look now. please dont try and conform to the size zero cause that doesnt exist they are under weight and under nourished it takes a big woman and in your case a whole load of guts to be a size 10 or 12 please dont cut out the chocalate to fit into a size zero world . you need some help if you can talk to your mom please do she will look after you and give you all the care you need if not could you confide in a mates mom and let her go with you to a doctor believe me its not as bad as you think. you have to see someone bab, they aint gonna come after you with a big white jacket they are there for you. and at the end of the day binging on chocalate is hardly a crime so be strong im here if you need me ok take care please me x

Hey there good that you have addimated this, I am a bit younger than you but used to binige ALOT! First you must get limets tell your parents and can be very suprising how well they take this kind of news.

Ok to start doent cut it all out but maybe have a chocy bar 1 -3 times a week.

Alot of people think binging is smthing that fat kids do ITS NOT! So doent feel bad about ur self. Ok last step if you feel you really need some sugar eat it maybe only half a chocy bar and some fruit is good ballance. Hoped this helps if you wana talk just massage me.

You should eat a healthy balanced diet, which can include chocolate ... just not too much of it.

You could use chocolate as a reward when you have had a good string of eating healthily.

I do not know how old you are, but I am almost eighteen and weigh 7 stone ... but I eat (quite alot sometimes) but I am healthy. It isn't always about weight, but about being healthy.

Good Luck x
