writes:i was with my bestfriends boyfriend and she knew we were together to go the mall and get her christmas present but i got drunk and his friends were with us and i messed with him in the backseat of his car, i cant tell my bestfriend and i dont know what to do. i haven't talked to either of them since and he wasnt drunk or drinking i was and i feel like he took advantage of my while i was drunk so what should i do??

reader, anonymous, writes (19 December 2011): You should definately tell her, it might be the end of your friendship but she deserves to know that her boyfriend was prepared to let her friend mess about with him, so if he can do that with one of her friends it seems he would do it with a stranger.
It will be pretty awkward telling her but you are her friend and she would feel massively hurt if she found out later on.
In the future watch how much you drink, you put yourself in a vulnerable position drinking with a guy, alone, and he wasn't in fact drinking. He could have taken advantage of you so please go careful in the future.

 The best thing to do is tell her. She may forgive you or she may not. But to hide it from her and she finds it out from someone else will hurt her even more and do more damage. It won't be easy but best friends don't hide things from each other. So tell her, and if you end up losing her, then at least you can say that you had enough respect for her to be honest with her.
