writes: Ok, Well basically everyone in my office hates me. I have been here a year and was starting to make friends. Then last night, I went to a work party and me and a colleague of mine got drunk and met some guys, I ended up kissing one, even though I have a boyf, wasn’t even a proper kiss. The next day in the office my director asked me how the party was, I told him me and colleague got very drunk and I was asked to look after her, but think she needed to look after me, anyway someone in the office overheard and told my collegue that I said she was off her face and I had to look after her.. Now the girl in question my colleague is refusing to talk to me and creating an atmosphere and making sure that everyone hates me as well. I thought it might blow over, but nope, still all against me. Also this girl is very spiteful and I would not put it past her to create drama with my boyfriend. She really is a cold cruel type of person I just hate it here now and dread coming into work Thanks

its still early days so give time for the dust to settle.
Send this girl an email (or text msg) and apologize for any bad feeling.
explain that your comment was misconstrued.
leave it to her then to make the 1st move.
if she still is (after 1 week) being resentful, have a word with ur manager?
explain its not comfortable as u feel aliented. if the manager has control he can arrange a meeting and u can discuss as it effects ur work performance.
as for your work colleagues try talking to them as normal. or a simple smile to show ur not the baddie.
dont let these people get u down, remmeber it wasnt ur fault! & every office has to gossip about someone.
if this continues for more than a few months and u continue to dread work, maybe look for a new job whereby you can make a fresh start.
Good luck
