A female reader, anonymous, writes (20 April 2008):

Ask yourself this; At this present time, do you see yourself happier without him? ppl con't pushing buttons when they get a reaction. If you went on like you dont care it will get worse at 1st then die down (nobody likes beating a dead horse). Ask yourself this, Why are they so concerned about your boyfriend? They dont have 2 spend time w him. You cant let friends, foes or family dictate your relationship otherwise you'll always be self harming and breakin up.

WiccanWonder agony auntOh and also, they are probably just jelous of you, as you have a boyfriend! They probably are immature jerks who need to get over themselves!

Awh honey I'm sorry to hear they're being so awful to you. But think about it, how immature are they being? Very! I mean, come on, hamster. That's ridiculous.

Tell them at least you're mature enough to get a boyfriend, and they're just walking around making immature stupid comments.

But to answer your question, stay with him if you like him honey. Nothing should tear you apart.

Wow. People can be so cruel. But I think the thing to remember is anyone who needs to get their power from bullying and picking on others is someone who is not feeling very good about themselves. They go on the attack so they can vent their own frustrations about themselves. It's so sad. I'm sorry.

x-kitycatlok-x agony auntUh... If you love your boyfriend STAY WITH HIM, no matter what. Of course it's worth going out with him. Just stand up to the bullies. Tell them to shut up and shove off. Trust me, it works. Or tell a member of staff at your school. I've been there, and when telling people didn't help, I yelled at them back. It worked. Trust me. If you love your boyfriend, never give that up.

Wishing you the best.

xx
