A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I need some serious help. I'm not sure how to put this so i'll just come out and say it. I look at bad pictures on the internet. I've never meant to start looking at them, it's just there's certain images, and i can't believe what i'm seeing, that i have to get a closer look. They're usually sexual images. I never wanted to do this, but ever since i saw that there was a certain channel on the TV that showed sexual shows, i couldn't stop watching. I stopped for awhile when the channel stopped coming in, but when it came back i started watching it again. I feel guilty about it. I don't want to be a porn watching addict. But i can help it. I think i was just curious, but i wanna stop. but i don't know the best way how. PLEASE HELP!

I'd prefer if there were ways that didn't involve having to go to a therapist or psycologist if that was anyone's suggestion.

Advice appreciated.

Most girls and boys your age do these things! It's very normal! Don't worry, once you're older and have had 'real actual' sex the images will lose their hold on you. You're just curious to see what sex is like, what men look like naked, these are things all girls are curious about (especially if the man is hot). Enjoy exploring, it's a good substitute for the real thing, and will satisfy your curiosity until you are ready for it.

Kepi agony auntYou are growing up, we have all gone through it and worried about what is happening, but don't worry, its just your bodies way of waking up... as you start to develop sexual feelings, urges, interest, because they are so new to you they feel overwhelming, over time you will settle down and they will become natural feelings that are controllable.... so son't worry about this, if you get obsessive about it, you will think that you have a problem that you really don't have, so 'sit back and enjoy the ride' its all part of becoming an adult.

hehe cute! this is PUBERTY (reminds me of when i was 13)…tons of fun and confusing isn't it? once it's over (along with your teenage years) life is great…being super horny and curious is typical at that age…even if you end up checking out the freakiest and kinkiest of things…don't stress about it…being interested/curious about sex (esp. at your age) is completely normal…you're not a porn addict don't worry…

i remember when i was in junior high there was an adult channel that came in fuzzy for about a year or so on tv…that was always fun trying to catch it and occasionally see some naughty parts :p

just one piece of advice…be careful you don't get caught! b/c it's super embarrassing if you do! make sure you always delete the history and cookies on your computer…in junior high, my mom found a ton of porn on the computer…i was mortified…i tried to blame it on a friend lol i don't think she bought it…it was like lesbian porn too which made it even more embarrassing b/c i am NOT a lesbian

you're becoming an adult, slowly but surely!

It's okay. You're just curious. It's natural. Don't worry about it so much. You are still young, have alot of growing up to do. It's actually a good thing you're curious. It's not a bad thing at all. Just don't get obsessed. :-)
