reader, anonymous, writes (8 January 2007): An early home pregnancy test can tell you as soon as 9 to 14 days after intercourse that you are pregnant, she is probably making it up, but if she had unprotected sex with him, she may have suddenly been concerned about it regretably after the fact and went to buy the test.
She may be lying, but this guy is saying that is why he is not with you, so it really doesn't matter, he is not going to date you and there is nothing you can do about the other girl, let him sort things out with her and you just stay out of it.....sorry you are disappointed, but if she ends up not pregnant and he comes around again, then I guess you can decide if you want to continue seeing him.

 Someone isn't telling the whole story. If they have only been together three weeks, and she is three weeks pregnant, she wouldn't really know she was pregnant yet, because she would just NOW be skipping her period. So either they knew each other before three weeks ago, and he is the father, OR they have known each other three weeks and he could not possibly be the father because SOMEONE else would have made her pregnant BEFORE they met. Is she lying about the pregnancy? I can't say, but someone is lying. Not sure who. I'd sit down and think about this story before investing anymore time on this situation.
