I like one of my good friends brothers. Should I tell her?

A female age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Dear Cupid,

I like one of my good friends brothers

I liked him way before we became good friends

He has told me that he likes me back and we've made out on a few occasions but our friendship is always on and off.

I really like him and have thought about seeing if we should take our relationship more serious.

I feel guilty about her not knowing but I know she wouldn't like it as I've seen her reaction when a friend even says "he looks nice today"

Also, as there is no real relationship I almost feel like there isn't much to say

Should I tell her about it?

A female reader, Honeypie United States +, writes (15 October 2014):

Honeypie agony auntI would honestly cut the kissing out. If it's not so serious that you want to tell the sister, then don't do it.

It's not like you NEED her permission, but not telling her is kind of shady. IF you want to date him.

However, do you think he wants anything serious if all he does is kiss you here and there?
