writes:Hi, well me and a girl i was seeing stopped seeing each other a few weeks ago because of something that happened, im getting interested in one of her friends but dont wanna harm my ex's and her relationship, my ex is back together with her ex boyfriend now, and ive invited her friend out to one of my friends music gigs (in a months time) and i was wondering weather to ask if my ex and her boyfriend wanted to go, because im still on good terms with my ex and speak to her, but maybe if we all went out together and had a good time it wouldnt strain my ex's and her friends relationship (because of me), way i see it, if i accept her and her boyfriends relationship, she will accept mine and her friends, but not sure if its too early to do so. any suggestions? btw my ex knows me and her friend have been flirting and stuff, and hasnt said anything bad about it

 I would try talking to your ex, make her feel you are respectful of her feelings regarding this which should help in her being okay about it, if you just go forward and go for it with her friend your ex may feel neither of you considered her or her feelings and start making things difficult for you both which you don't want and the girl involved would possibly have a strained friendship with your ex.
