I like my work colleague but I hear rumours that he is interested in someone else! Can I take a risk and tell him?

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I work very close with a guy at work and have found myself falling for him over the past year. We get on very well and have even had a drunk kiss on my birthday, however nothing else was said about it. I dont know if I should say that I like him and risk our relationship both professonally and personally as friends.

Also I dont know if I want to take the risk as the office gossip tells me that he is interested in someone else.

A female reader, Aunt Audrey United Kingdom +, writes (11 June 2008):

Aunt Audrey agony auntWell nothing ventured nothing gained, why not invite him out for a drink or a meal and take things from there, he can only say he doesn't want to get involved romantically, there's no reason for it to affect your friendship.

He may well be interested in someone else, but that doesn't mean that they are interested in him, and he's single righ now isn't he?

Go for it, or you'll always be wondering what if......

Good Luck.
