writes:me and my mate have been good friends for a while now and both have the same interests. i hardly have any friends and dont want us to fall out. i was going to ask this girl out but then found out my friend liked her too. so i left her alone. ever since they've been going out ive felt weird and regretted not asking her out, but as they're still going out i cant try anything. what should i do?  Girlfriends come and go, best mates are to be treasured. It is a simple question of getting your priorities right. You know the friendship with your mate works for you and the company is enjoyable. You might date his girl for a week or a month before working out you have nothing in common. Then you would be left with no girl and no mate. Focus on what you like about his girlfriend and look out for those qualities in another girl.
