I like this girl but she recently broke up with a mate of mine, but she still likes him. Last night i told her that i like her but she said that we could only be friends because of the situation she is in. should i just forget about her and what i said and try to move on ?

Move on. That is definitely the best option in this situation. The last thing that you need is to get yourself into a sticky mess.

kenny agony auntShe has only just split up with your mate, i think you made a move on her to soon, of course she was going to decline your offer as she's still carrying a torch for your mate.

I would be inclined to forget about her and what you said and move on. Otherwise you risk falling out with your mate, and that would not be worth it.

Good luck
