A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

*** Sorry if this is really long!

I've been friends with my best friend for about 10/11 years now, our mums are friends, we have even spent christmas together before. I often sleep over at her house, and she sleeps at mine, we even have keys to each others houses.

I've had a crush on my best friends twin brother for a while now, and he knew for a while but neither of us even said anything about it. He's quite shy, and he's never had a girlfriend or boyfriend, and my best friend says he's never kissed anyone either

The other day, I slept over at my best friends' house. I've always been an early riser, I usually wake up at around 4-5 in the morning depending on the time I go to sleep, and I can't get back to sleep when I wake up.

This time I woke up at about 4:10, so I got dressed and made a cup of tea, which I took outside to the bottom of their garden. They have a patio heater at the bottom of the garden, with a bench and a table, and a fence that separates the garden off from a hill down into a wood/forest type thing, which isn't owned by them. I was finishing up my tea and checking facebook on my phone, when her brother came down the garden, (lets call him J), and he sat down beside me. He said hi to me, he must have heard me get up, and then he said that he had woken up and thought he would come and keep me company. We must have sat in silence for ten minutes or so, before I got bored and asked him if he wanted to go for a walk with me. He looked hesitant but said yes, so we climbed over the fence and down the hill and into the woodland. We walked through the trees for a while, and the sun was just starting to rise and we came to a clearing and I said to him, "lie down with me," which he took in the wrong way, but we lay in the grass and watched the sun rise.

We were in silence for ages, before my brain just went, "sod it," so I asked him if he knew that I liked him, and he said yes, so I asked why he hadn't said anything, and he was like, "I don't know how I feel," so I said to him something like "I asked you to come for a walk, and here you are," and then we sat in silence for a little while longer. We fiddled with grass, and avoided eye contact for a while and then I leaned across and kissed him.

He pulled away immediately and we stood up and headed back to the house through the woods. When we were back under the trees I kissed him again and he pulled away again, but then he kissed me back.

I hadn't seen him since then until this morning when I went back to the woods, and on my way back he was sat on the bench in his garden looking over the fence at me. WE aranged to meet up tomorrow but I'm nervous because I don't know what he's gonna say. Any advice please?

She does know that I like him, and she has been very supportive. She was convinced that he liked me as well, but she wasn't too sure.
