SO i like this guy and i told him and he likes me back, but we're not dating cause neither of us r allowed to get into a relationship by our families. we like eahc other and my best friend likes him 2 now. she told me she likes him 2 days after i told her. what should i do? should i give him up and tell him to atleast act like he likes my best friend 4 a few days or should i keep the guy and tell my best friend that he doesn't like her, but he likes me?

reader, anonymous, writes (29 November 2007): i think that you shouldn't give him up and it wouldn't be nice for you to do that to your best friend because shes going get her hopes up n its not good 4 u 2 get hurt like that either just tell her that he likes you and if she really is your best friend she'll understand just like you would understand if he liked her. I think you should both wait until you can date!!!

What are the reasons why your parents will not allow you to date.
I understand that you both have feelings for each other and it would be mean to stand in your friends way. However if your guy realy likes you then he will wait and not go with this girl.
Your friend knows that you like this guy and it is selfish that she has decided to sudenly like him to.
So yeah it is a difficult situation.
The main person here is the guy, he is the one that can say yes or no.
Also speak to your parents and have an adult conversation disscusing maybe an alternative.
Maybe that you date but supervised.
Ok may sound crappy to you, but its better than nothing and then you can build up there trust and move upwards.
