my parents say the same about me and my boyfriend just because he smokes. they tell me to get rid of him but i just follow my heart, i love him he's done close sexual thimgs with me and he's the first so i'm not just going to get rid of him. you should do the same. if you love this guy stay with him, if you think your mum and friends are right get rid of him. time will tell if your mum is right or not. make sure he doesn't abuse or use you.
good luck xxxx

Your mum and friends are only looking out for you and I don't see any reason why your mum would say he's no good if this wasn't true (you never know with friends, they may be jealous!) You need to look at why your mum is saying this and whether there is any truth in it.
They only want the best for you and know you better than anyone, so surely they know when someone is going to be wasting your time and treating you badly?
I'm not saying live your life by what others say but, while you're young, allow those who've been there before and who know what's best for you lead you to make sure you don't get hurt and used.
Good luck

Hey sweet, can you tell us more? Why do your mom and friends say he is bad news? Do you have any idea what they don't like about him? And is your mom still allowing you to see him even though she doesn't like him? -Sally
