I would hate being gay.Here is the problem.I want to have a family, with children. I want to live a normal life like everyone else.Being Gay seems just like a dead end.I like guys sexually, but couldn’t see myself close to a guy.I could be close to girl, but wouldn’t be attracted to them sexually.I now that I am swaying towards guys, it became perfectly clear why I never had a girlfriend. I was afraid to, because I was simply uncomfortable with the sexual side of it. And I am uncomfortable around my guy friends because they are attracted to girls.I could never have a happy life, because I would never feel comfortable in a relationship.I still am convinced that the reason I am gay, is because I have never had any sexual contact with girls.Ever since I was young, I have always felt comfortable around homosexuality. I never attacked it like my friends, it all felt natural to me.I have been stereotypically gay (‘Metro sexual’) my whole life. If I came out of the closet tomorrow, my parents wouldn’t be surprised. But If I did, it would just be another joke to them. My Mother is concerned about my love life because I have never had a girlfriend. My father doesn’t want me to be gay, and it would kill him. So he doesn’t talk to my mother about it.If I ever became gay, I would tell no one, and leave my entire family outright and move overseas. (I hate them for other reasons as well). Also, I am worried because I only like certain guys my own age. If I were a man, I don’t know if I’d like guys as old as me. If I were gay my whole life, I would have to find a life partner now.If you are gay, did you realize you were gay since an early age or after you were attracted to females?Do your interests change, as you get older?Please help me!

reader, anonymous, writes (29 July 2008): Hey.I completely forgot this even existed, but I got an email about it and yeah!Well, I wrote this AGES ago and so much has happened since then.I came out of the closet about 3 months ago and I have never been happier with myself.I am Gay!Its strange, once you come out, all the worries about 'having a family' become obsolete.That was the true answer I needed with my problems in the past.Thanks so much for your reply.

you will never know until you are in a relationship with both male and females..
are you attracted to both? :)
I wouldn't worry. whatever you are gay/straight/bi it doesn't matter- people will still love you for who you are (your dad should too)
you are still young too- I know friends who have went from gay to bisexual in a year.
