I've only talked to her a few times but she's been nice to me and we've made each other laugh. Now, I'm bi, and I've come to really like this girl over the course of the semester. I asked one of her friends about her, who told me things she's interested in that I could use to get to know her, but I tend to be shy and I don't want to seem weird. Plus, she's a senior, which means if I don't act fast I'll lose my chance! What should I do? I don't know if she's straight, and though I'm bi, I've never been in a relationship with a girl, so I don't know how to broach the subject with her assuming we become friends. Any advice?

This is the classic problem that gay and bi people face.
Back in the good old days you'd just ask her if she was a friend of Dorothy and be on your merry way.
Apart from quietly singing katy perry songs at her or asking if she's a fan of the L word and seeing how she responds, it's going to be tricky.
I think your best bet is to point out a girl and say she's really hot. Let her know you are bi. If she gets weird and runs away then you know she wasn't going to be a good friend anyway.
Once she knows she may well tell you she's the same. You just have to see how it goes.
Good Luck!! xx
