writes: Me and the guy I love have been dancing around each other for the last 2 years - we pull quite often, slept together once, but never got together.Friday was the last time I'll ever see him and he left without even saying goodbye to me, not a single word! I don't think there's any way to describe how heartbroken I am - I knew I loved him more than he liked me, but I had no idea he could do anything so cruel. iI now know that I mean nothing to him and I never have...that doesn't stop it hurting like hell tho. How could he not even say goodbye?

reader, anonymous, writes (28 May 2006): What he did to you...does tell you an enormous amount of information about him, doesn't it? Was he worthy? No he wasn't. He could do this to you, dear because he's sent you a clear message, he's not the one for you. I know it hurts like hell but so many woman do what you did. I have always said -sex drives the heart and women let their emotional barriers down. They figure 'if I sleep with him, he'll love me'. No, no, no...quite the opposite happens actually. Always give yourself to a guy who will appreciate the gift you are giving him. You never rush into sex with a guy. If he's the one..he'll wait and be there and he'll respect you all the more. Wondering why this sort of thing happens (and it happens to all of us) is often just a cover for seeking ways to put yourself down. Don't do that to yourself! . Always, always remember...when someone doesn't say goodbye and treats you badly, that is more a statement about them than about you. Face this pain, recover and you will and move on to the next one and don't stop moving on until you find one who helps you to feel happy insideand will cherish you. Take care, hun and be strong. xxx
