writes: Hello! For over the past week or so I keep dreaming about a certain male celebrity. One night I dreamt that he was going to have sex with me, the next he was sitting in my house and on another occasion, he was walking along the beach with his wife. His wife is also a celebrity and she is really starting to annoy me! Every time I dream about her, she is either being chased by a man who is going to hurt her or she is cheating on her husband. I have now become so obsessed that I try to think of sick reasons about how I could meet him. I think about him every minute of every day and get upset when I can't see him. I don't know what to any more. Please help. What's wrong with me? Please don't tell me to just forget about him, because the truth is, I don't think I ever want to forget him. This is going to sound really cliche but:
It IS just a phase! Most people have a giant celebrity crush when we're really young, and that's totally normal! When I was 13 I had a HUGE crush on Dougie from McFly!!!
However:
Our celebrity crushes often give us a clue what kind of man we are looking for! Some girls fancy older male celebrities because they want a man who can take care of them. No word of a lie, I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year and he plays bass and is really short, just like Dougie. When you're a bit older, and the boys around you start maturing, then you'll probably be attracted to boys with similarities to the celebrity that you fancy =]

We all get crushes and fancy celebrities, that how the whole industry works, if we didn't we wouldn't want to see their films or buy their, music. As time passes we have different favourites, in years to come you will look back and say oh yes I used to have a thing for him. You have nothing to worry about.

Celebrity obsession is not unusual, especially at your age. The intensity you describe is a little too much though. Maybe you'll outgrow it - I suggest having a chat with an intelligent older woman (your mother for example), but if you don't feel any different, say, six months down the line, there might be something to worry about. Therapy, etc.
